Zeffie Allen Obituary

Zeffie Mae Allen was born on June 10, 1931, in Mt. Pleasant, Tx to Joseph and Plydia Brown. At an   early age, she joined White Oak Baptist Church.  Later joined Parkers Providence Baptist Church in Rosser, TX; where she became Deaconess, and Zion Travelers Baptist Church where she worked as an Usher. She moved to Ennis, TX; and became a member of Galilee Baptist Church where she was a trusted member and her last church home under the leadership of Rev. Booker T. Washington.

Later in life Zeffie married  Lloyd Allen Sr. , she was employed for several years as a Certified Nurse Aide at the Kemp Family Care Center until she retired.

She was preceded in death by parents: Joseph and Plydia Brown, husband: Lloyd Allen Sr., two sons: Robert Allen and Kenneth Allen, one daughter: Beverly Allen, four sisters: Vernice Young (Boy), Martha Smith, Thelma Brown, and Zeima Shelby, two brothers: Joel Brown, and Jimmy Brown, one great great grandson: K.J. Blair.

Zeffie leaves to cherish her memories 3 sons: Lloyd Allen Jr. (Gwen) in Kemp, TX; Brandon Allen, Daniel  Allen (Denise) Dallas, TX; and David Allen (Dana) Clarksville, TX; 2 daughters: Velma Jean   Allen; Long Beach, CA; and Donna Hunt; Kemp, TX., 13 grandchildren: Lateisha Allen, Tadrick Allen,   Nakius Allen, Daniel Allen, Brandon Allen, Darian Allen, William Allen, Andrew Sambo, Jonathan Sambo, Jessica Sambo, Markus Sambo, Hershel Hunt, and Toniecqua (Tonie) McClellan, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 5 adopted great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Billie Jean Morgan, Helen Love and Loretta Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
