A Time to be Born
Robert Lee Lister was born to the late Laura Meeks Hunter, and Madera Lister on November 26, 1937.
Both parents, siblings, aunts and uncles preceded him in death.
A Time to Plant
Robert was a 1956 graduate of Pyle High School in Kaufman, Texas.
A Time to Love
Robert and Annie Washington was married on November 1, 1960. There were blessed with a son: Robert Keith Lister.
A Time to Find
He accepted Christ at an early age at Bold Pilgrim Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas. Later he united with the Church of the Living God P.G.T. under the late Bishop Beasley. He served as a choir member and trustee until his health began to fail.
A Time to Reap
After graduating from High School, he attended Bishop Extension and El Centro Colleges. Later he enlisted in the Army for 2 years.
He worked for General Motors in Arlington, Texas for 30 years where he retired.
A Time to Die
Robert departed this life on Monday, March 17, 2025 at his home.
A Time to Weep
Robert leaves to cherish his memories. A loving wife of 64 years, Annie Lister, a son: Robert Keith Lister, one grandson: Robert Keith Lister Jr. (Daesha), one great grandson: Silas Carl Lister, two sisters: Lillian Hill, and Teresa Hunter of (Dallas, Texas), one brother in law: Gary Shaw of ( LaGuna Niguel, California), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
