Mrs. Mable Lee Thomas daughter of Juanita and Orange Rapier was born September 15, 1947 in Grand Rapids Michigan. As a child, she attended Baldwin Public Schools in Baldwin, Michigan.
At a young age she attended and was baptized at Christ Community Church in Baldwin, MI. She loved the Lord and to sing praises unto His name. She was a recorded vocal artist. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, San Jose, CA, Full Gospel Baptist Church in San Jose, CA, and Greater McIntyre Chapel Baptist Church in Terrell, TX, where she served as first lady under her late husband, Pastor Edward Thomas, Sr. Her current membership was at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Fate, TX under Pastor D. P. Dawkins.
During her career Mable worked at Regional Health Center in Baldwin, MI, National Semiconductor in San Jose and Drew Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. Her greatest career accomplishment was being an amazing caregiver to her daughter Deborah.
Proceeded in death by husband Pastor Edward Thomas Sr., son Raymond A. C. McKinney, and parents Juanita and Orange Rapier.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter‘s; Melissa (Darren) Clark Modesto, CA, LaShawn McKinney Stockton, CA, Deborah Thomas Forney, TX, Grand-children; Will Hobbs, Britney (Gustavo) Garcia, Latara (Edwin) Baker, Darren Clark, Latesha Byrd, Freddie Harris, Zarveon Harris and Isaiah Harris; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers Charles (Pierre) Rapier, Denver, CO, and DeAndre Wilson, Battle Creek, MI, sister Anita Gillette, Dacula, GA. God-daughter Keiana Shelese (Zack) Palmer, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
