Linda Faye (Smith) Eldridge

Linda Faye Smith-Eldridge was born on July 6, 1950, to Lever Charles Smith and Juanita Morrow-Smith, who both preceded her in death.

Linda accepted Christ at an early age and carried her faith with her throughout her life. She was love in action—selfless, giving, and always supportive. She showed up with kindness and encouragement, making everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her presence left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Linda attended Pyle High School and Kaufman High School, where she began building the foundation of the strong and compassionate woman she would become. She dedicated many years of hard work and service in various positions with PepsiCo and Johnson Controls before retiring in 1998. Her strong work ethic and commitment were evident throughout her career.

Linda was the loving mother of her son, Anthony Smith, before uniting in marriage with Lloyd Henry Eldridge. Through their union, she lovingly embraced Lloyd’s son, Ray Daniels, as her own, and together they were blessed with a daughter, Demetria Eldridge, completing a family built on love, unity, and care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lever and Juanita Smith; one sister, Nettie Ann Smith; and four brothers, John L. Moore, Charles Smith, Gary Smith, and Sydney Smith. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Demetria Eldridge, and stepson, Ray Daniels.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her son, Anthony Smith; two granddaughters, Breyana Smith and Tatyanna Robinson; her sisters, Mary Smith-Eldridge, Gloria Cook, Gennice Robinson, Carolyn Bridges, Mandy Morrow-Beasley, Salina Morrow, Kim Smith and Montressa Smith; and her brothers, Kenneth Morrow and Corey Smith. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
