Johnny Cavin Blake, 55, a technician, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the home of his son, Jay Blake, in Kaufman, Texas. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 10:00 am at Fellowship Pentecostal Church of God, 11025 Limestone Drive, Balch Springs, Texas. Burial at Cottonwood Cemetery, Cottonwood, Texas. Visitation is Wednesday, June 30, 2021, 6-8 pm at Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 1114 E 1st N Street, Kaufman, Texas.
Johnny Cavin Blake was born July 31, 1965 in Dallas, Texas to Johnnie Clifton Blake and Patricia May Taylor. He was a long-time resident of Scurry, Texas. He loved to fish, collect copper, and really loved Fords. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Tracie Michelle Ratliff, Melinda Darlene Blake, and Shawn Allen Blake. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Johnny Kevin Bruder of Missouri, Jesse Clifton Bruder of Missouri, Jonathan Earl Blake of Dallas, John “Jay” Wesley Blake of Kaufman, and Jeromy Carl Calloway of Seven Points; siblings, Debbie and Delos Dunlap of Joshua, James and Linda Blake of Midlothian, Belinda Wright of Dallas, Carl and Maggie Blake of Cleburne, Karen Myers of Arlington, and Cameron and Kimberly Cornett of Keller; and step-parents Sharon Blake of Roanoke and Richard Stowers of Dallas; 11 grandchildren, and 28 nieces and nephews.
