Celebration of Life
On April 25, 2026, it pleased the LORD to call Joel Wren Jr.
Joel Wren Jr was born December 9, 1966 to the late Joel Wren Sr and Ivory Pearl Shelton Wren. He professed his belief in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop Joel Wren Sr. He received his education at Kaufman High School in Kaufman, Texas. Joel Jr was an outstanding High School football player and was awarded a full scholarship to Stephen F. Austin University. He attended and played college football for two years.
After his college career, Joel Jr became a minister of the gospel and would often join with churches around the Kaufman and Dallas area, serving and ministering to different congregations.
Joel Jr was a loving father and a loving brother, relative, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joel Wren Sr and Ivory Pearl Shelton Wren. His son: Joel Wren III and his daughter Jennifer Mumphrey.
The heart of Joel Jr was his family and he would very often say to them “I love you,” during his conversation and at the end of his conversation with them.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Jeremiah Wren, Alicia Polk and Gabrielle Wren. Brothers: Shawn Era Wren of Forney, Tx, Darwayne Wren (Connie) of Terrell, Tx, Gregg Wren (Schwon) of Mesquite, Tx, Mark Wren (Shahaiar) of Aubrey, Tx. Sister: Gwendolyn Dee Lanette Collier (Tyron) of Kaufman, Tx. Brother-in-law: Tyron Collier. Sister-in-laws: Schwon Jackson Wren, Connie Davis Wren, and Shahaiar Wren. Granchildren: Kelicia LeAsia Polk and Alex LaBrice Polk. His god-daughter: Kanaysha Willis and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
