Bruce Edward Davis was born to the parentage of Gloria Dean Davis on Saturday, September 8, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. Bruce was raised in Terrell, Texas where he attended Terrell Public Schools and graduated in 1982. Bruce was known for his caring ways and an avid supporter of all Tiger Sports. He was an excellent athletic trainer at Terrell High School and later at Southwestern Christian College where he also served as assistant Men’s Basketball Coach.
Bruce gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Jerusalem Church of The Living God, Pillar and Ground of Truth, Dallas, Texas. Bruce later in life attended Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Rosser, Texas, New Founders Missionary Baptist Church, Ennis, Texas where he served as a trustee and armor bearer, and currently he attends Faith of Deliverance Baptist Church, Kaufman, Texas.
In 1974 Bruce started working with the Brooks-Thomas Mortuary in Terrell, Texas. That employment brought about a lifelong friendship with Von Carl Thomas, Sr. a bond that was closer than any brother. His greatest desire was to attend Mortuary School and become a mortician.
Bruce was also employed at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Kaufman, Texas as Environmental Service Director, and at Walmart as an associate.
His mother, one brother, and sister preceded him in death.
Bruce leaves to mourn his passing, One daughter, Bretayla Grissaffi (Micah), 3 grandchildren Axel, Cayden, and Karson, Special Cousins, Diane Davis and her children, Cynthia Paul, Mae Woodard, Orletha Jackson, and Wiley Graham, Special God-Daughter Janika Jackson and a host of other relative and friends.
